Here’s a few links about transit around the blogosphere:
- HugeAssCity wants you to know about how Prop. 1 and light rail can affect land patterns. It really is a great read, and Dan Bertolet really connects the dots on development and transportation. I have nothing to add, but Erica Barnett adds her two cents here.
- Erica also has a summary of the South Seattle Metro service changes. This shouldn’t be new to regular readers, Martin has done an amazing job of covering these changes, but Erica’s post a good introduction.
- The Washington Coalition urges you to vote yes on Prop. 1.
- The Rainier Valley Post discusses the light rail lunch bus, with two scheduled for this month: Sat., Oct. 25, and Fri., Oct. 31. The details about the tours are here.
- Matt the Engineer address those who are basing their vote on personal situation with regard to transit. It sounds more reasonable than I describe it.
- Breaking News! Ted Van Dyk voted no on Prop. 1. I never would have guessed!
Nickels, Murray and who?
Dow Constantine, for one.
Yeah it’s Nickels, Murray, Constantine and Jim Ellis.
HugeAss rocks. I credit Seattle Transit Blog for turning me onto Dan’s work. Your’s are the two blogs I link on my own eclectic page as representative of what I like about being a Seattlite.
David
nice pic, nothing like getting squeezed by a big guy on the bus…seriously a few more inches of width on those seats would be much appreciated. I am a bit a germaphobe and rubbing legs with people is not my fav.
Andrew,
try again; that is not Ellis next to Senator Murray.
Are you sure? We were standing right there.
Here’s a picture of Jim Ellis from a Seattle Times article that was run last year. Sure looks like him to me
